Eligibility Requirement: To qualify for this grant, the primary applicant must be a TMF member serving as the clinical lead for the project.
Additionally, the project should embody true interdisciplinary collaboration, substantiated by evidence such as involving non-medical professionals as co-researchers (e.g., orthopaedic surgeon and physiotherapist; ED clinician and paramedic) or incorporating multiple levels of care within the same project (e.g. GP working alongside specialists or hospital teams collaborating with social services).
Application Period: The grant application window opens annually and extends until July 31st. Each year, the TMF Executive Committee selects a maximum of one project during the August meeting. This ensures that each application is thoroughly evaluated for merit and alignment with TMF's mission and objectives and that the most deserving project is chosen.
Funding Amount: The Multidisciplinary Collaborative Innovation Grant provides funding ranging from $5,000 to $10,000, ideal for supporting diverse projects, from pioneering healthcare technologies to innovative patient care approaches.
Reporting & Accountability: As part of the grant process, recipients are required to provide progress reports and share outcomes presentations. This commitment to accountability ensures that valuable insights and discoveries are shared with the broader medical community.
